Reading Fringe is at the Minster from 20th July to 26th July see thier website for additional information about events.

  • Midweek Service at 1.05pm every Wednesday  (Except 31st July – Church Closed)
  • Every Wednesday join us for Coffee, cake and conversation at 12 md until 1 pm.  (Except 31st July – Church Closed)
  • Every Friday – Walk for Wellbeing. 12.00 – 12.30 Meet outside Reading Minster Church at midday for a fun, gentle, drop in walk to promote mental wellbeing lead by a trained walk leader. Come and get a breath of fresh air and explore some of the local area – all you need is a bottle of water and some comfortable shoes. Finish at 12.30pm and there will be tea and coffee available in the Minster afterwards.

    Reading Fringe is in the Minster from 18th – 26th July. During this time the church will be closed but there will be the usual Wednesday Eucharist on 7th August and Sunday Services as normal.

A roasting hot swinging 17 piece big band boasting many fine jazz soloists, directed by local trumpet star Stuart Henderson will be playing classics from the earliest days of the big bands, through the Swing Era up to contemporary arrangers and composers. Ellington, Basie, Kenton, Rich and many more!

    • The Evolution of the Big Band – From the Birth of Jazz – 8pm

A roasting hot swinging 17 piece big band boasting many fine jazz soloists, directed by local trumpet star Stuart Henderson will be playing classics from the earliest days of the big bands, through the Swing Era up to contemporary arrangers and composers. Ellington, Basie, Kenton, Rich and many more!

Thursday 25th

    • A Night at the Musical with Thomas Cameron – 7.30pm

Thomas is delighted to be heading to Reading to perform his show at the stunning Reading Minster this July!

Thomas Cameron is a Classic Brit and Best in Music Award nominated tenor, whose voice has been described as having velvet-like qualities. Performing the hits from the world of musical theatre, classical and contemporary music, Thomas has blown away audiences across the UK and Ireland, as well as having a worldwide following.

Friday 26th

    • Conversations with Trees – 7pm

Sanctuary – Every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm. –

Sanctuary is a place of refuge, recovery and refreshment

It is also a place of safety for all those who are feeling potentially vulnerable, e.g. when waiting alone for a lift/taxi home, or after an incident/issue during the evening.  A safe place to rest and chat.

The Minster is open Monday to Fridays from 10.00 hours for quiet reflection and prayers. You are always welcome to call in to have a look at our wonderful building too.

The church is closed for two weeks from 29th July to 9th August. Sunday Services will be as normal.  There will only be a Wednesday Eucharist on 7th August during those two weeks. Thank you for your undertsanding.
